  1. I know that before the United States was what it is now, it was very different. The climate and terrain is much the same as it is today but more of it. There were alot of indian tribes scattered all along the US. But after the first colonies were set up in the east, it started to change. Then after expansion through the Oregon Trail, colonies sprouted up all over the land and soon colonies became States. State after state we became an entire nation with 52 of them inside.

  2. What I know about the U.S. is that Christopher Columbus was the founder of our land, but was the first person to actually do something about it. While the Native American's were the first people to actually settle there first.

  3. the united states (before settlers showed up ad killed most of them off)was populated by the native americans, depending on the part of the U.S. you were in, it looked either snowy and covered with pine trees, lots of tall yellow grass, short bushes and trees, or it was forest areas with indiginous fruits and berries. so the native americas lived here first, it is beleived that a long, long time ago there was a land bridge to america and people got there that way, then the land bridge broke apart over time, leaving people on america to later be known as the natives. (this theory relies very heavily on the tectonic plates theory)

  4. Before the United States became what it is there were people living on it. Some people say that they did not discover America but if they lived there then they discovered it, not Columbus. These people are called Indians. This America looked like a paradise with no cars, not a lot of people, no big cities or anything, just one big ever so slightly inhabited piece of land. Instead of keeping it that way people built vilages, then towns, then small cities, then cities like Yakama, and Seattle. Then came cars, and trains, and boats, and wastefullness. The people that were here before us did a great job of keeping our home clean, but once Columbus found it, it was ruined.

  9. I know the united states was a glorous land with native americans who roumed free and happy like everyday. It had wonderful purple moutains with snow caped tips peeking out of the clouds and forest filled with lush green growing things. Wild bears and horses ran through meadows with plenty to eat and no fear at all. Deer and birds slipped through the forest silent only letting out the faint cry of happiness.A gurgling river is filled with colorful fish that splash and eat yummy glittery bugs. Now... Now the animals have a day to day fear that they will run into us they didn't fear the natives because they didn't bother them so much. The birds sing with alarm when men with guns walk noisily though the undergrowth. The fish run low in numbers from over fishing and disease. The forst are smaller and smaller by the day animals go extinct becaus there is now place to hide. Palution contamminates the beautiful blue ocean and large disgusting smelling roads cut through lands that once had the beauty of emptyness. The atmospeare is having problems because of the nastiness of gas. The united states just isn't the same any more...

  12. I know that several native America tribal communities lived in the various regions of North America. I remember learning that they did not believe land could be owned or sold, although they still had wars over territory. I suppose now that I know textbook information is not always reliable, I have to reconsider everything I've been taught. I know that the European settlers destroyed a lot of the landscape in America. I would assume there were more trees, and thicker forests.

  17. I know that the Native Americans (Indians) were the first people here. There were several trees. The Native Americans had several tribes. After Columbus the settlers came and tore down trees and killed animals for food. They founded the thirteen colonies. One that I know by heart was Jamestown. These colonies were ruled by England (yeah one direction!) until they fought for freedom and won with the Declaration of Independance.
