Week of September 10-14
What type of "system" do you have in place for having a successful year? Do you write down your homework in the same spot every night? Do you check it off when you complete it? Do you have a homework section in your binder? Do you have a certain time/place at home for doing your homework? Does being organized all come naturally? Is it a struggle for you?
You DO NOT have to answer all the questions above, simply pick one or two and use it as a prompt. Your answer to the weekly blog should be a minimum of two sentences long! Yes, I said minimum!

I dont really have a system. Organization comes "naturally" to me. For the most part, to be successful to me is to always finish your work.

I write down my homework in same spot everyday, it's the blank spot at the bottom of the planner. Every time I finish that piece of homework that I have to do i check/slash it off. Writing my homework down helps me remember what I have to do. I have always have been very organized because i like to know where things are.

My system is doing my HW right when I get home and then review it to make sure I didn't miss anything. I have to have music playing and I always do Math first (I don't know why) then hummanities and science last. I have to do my HW at the kitchen table or I can't think!

The type of "system" I use to have a succesful year is to stay organized... I am not that good at this but I have worked all summer on it and think that I have improved enough for this to be my "system". My parents bought me a planner as well this year to help me stay organized. I figure that even if I can remember all of my homjework it is still good to write it down just in case I forgot something that day :) When I get done with something in my planner I always check it off so that I don't have any misunderstandings. I do not have a special homework section in my binder but that is a good idea[thanks for the suggestion :)]! I always do my homework right when I get home so that what I learned that day is still fresh in my mind beacuase if i do my homework after dinner or something I always forget how to do something, and I like working on my bed in my room becuase I have less people around me when I study (I like my quiet time).

Yes, i write down my nightly homework in the same spot every school day. I also always check each thing off after i complete it. Being a natural organizer really helps me do all these things in the order that i want them to be done.

The system I use is to only use my planner for humanities and remember everything else. Also I do my homework at around 8 at night so I can have a break when I get home.

I have a hard time being organized, I admit. I really struggled with it in sixth grade, when I started middle school. I feel like whenever I start a school year I'm telling myself, "Oh yeah, I'm going to write in my planner every day, and I'm going to do all of my homework on time, and I'm not going to have any missing work!" But this plan usually fails. I honestly don't know why. Maybe I get tired of school, or I get lazy. I am genuinely trying to sustain good studious habits. Although I'll probably have to remind myself with post-its and alarms and reminders on my phone to do my homework and check my planner and get off of tumblr!

The system I use is to stay organized and get my homework done on time. Also, I will try to use my planner more and check e-boards more.

I write my home work in my planner, so that night if i forget i look back and check. Also i try to do homework after school or after football practice.
ReplyDeleteI write all my homework in my planner and when I get home I check it again once more with e-boards. :) And I try to get homework done before I head to dance practice.

My system for homework and studing is to do my homework right when I come home so I can make sure i get every thing done while it is fresh in my mind. Also I have folders for each class, and each folder has a homework and classwork section.

For being successful I have a portion in my accordoin file that is dedicated for my HW. That is one way, I also like to write it down somewhere.
ReplyDelete-Bryce Noblat
I also keep my homework in the same place and put it back so i usually never lose my homework.
ReplyDelete-nicole nehrkorn
The plan i have for being organized is, i will allways write down my homework in the same spot every night and that spot is in my planner. what will allso help me stay organized is highlighting my work to see what i have to do for that day.
ReplyDelete-Leilani Bruce(:
i am "naturally" organized. in 4th grade i started using a binder and that helped alot. if things are out of place i freak out! i guess im kind of a neat freak :). i also keep dividers in my binder and have papers in an order so thing dont get jumbled.

ReplyDelete-yunni botello
In my binder I have a place for each class where I put my homework and important papers. I also do my homework around the same time each day.
ReplyDelete-Ethan
To keep organized i write in my planner for all of my classes and i keep a section in my binder for all of my classes. I also try to finish my homework right after school before football practice, But if i don't then i finish after!
ReplyDelete-Noah Pritchett
i write down my homework in the same place. i also check my planner and make sure all my work is done. this year i'm oranized with all my home work so i can get great grades this year. now that i started to check my planner being organized comes easy to me. when i go home i do my homework in my room right away(most of the time).
ReplyDeletesalima kariuki
basically i just check eboards every night to see if i missed any homework. plus i stay organized.
ReplyDelete-Beverly Gertley
I dont really have a system down...I guess I have a homework section in my binder, but being honest,I just shove it in my backpack and go,and then late at night(when im most active and easily sidetracked)I just dump out the contents of my backpack and see what I have, but I normally just memorize my homework now. So yea,in a way it is a struggle,I always organize my stuff when I start getting used to where to shove my papers into my backpack XD
ReplyDeleteThis year I'll be trying my best to put the homework and assignments in their respective folders so they don't get lost.

My system I have for having a successful year is being really organized and making sure I am turning in all of my work. I will also check Family/Student Access to make sure my grades are correct and I am on top of things. I will also take advantage of any extra credit my teacher's offer me. My goal for my 8th grade year is to get all A's every trimester. Overall, I hope I have a very successful year as an 8th grader!
