  1. I think they both played a big part but I believe having home field advantage really helped the patriots. It allowed them to prepare better by knowing where the high grounds were and also they had allies like the Natives. -Luke Frey

  2. I think the most important advantage was that the Patriots had a home field advantage. The Patriots knew the land well and knew which places to go to and which places not to go to.

  3. The most important advantage, in my opinion, was that the Patriots had a good leader. I think this is more important than home-field advantage because if you don't have someone that can inspire and motivate the troops then it doesn't matter if you know the land. A good leader gave the Patriots hope that they can beat Britain. GW also knew good war strategies, and that made the difference. -Brian Tran

  4. I think that the fact that the Patriots knew the land better was the most deciding factor for their victories. They were able to ambush the British while limiting their casualties. -Ethan Le

  5. In my most humble opinion, I think that the homefield advantage was the most important because the colonists knew what they had to do, knew which places to hide, which places to avoid, so they realized first where to go and fight. However, the British were supplying their army from over the ocean, and they didn't know the strange wilderness territory, or why they were fighting. Lisa Young

  6. Personally, I think that the home field advantage was the most beneficial. Although the Brits had money, soldiers and all their weapons, the colonists knew where everything was. They knew where to hide, where not to hide, and just basically everything about their land. If they didn't have that, I don't think the colonists would have one.

  8. In my opinion, I think the home field advantage was the most important advantage the Colonists had because they knew their way around. They could locate bridges, towns, rivers, hills and good hiding spots were. So, they could hide in those places and ambush the british with out them knowing and kill a lot of them! Overall, the home field advanatge helped the Colonists with their battle tactic of hiding and ambushing the british that lead them to freedom and victory.

  9. I think having the home field advantage was the most beneficial to the colonists because they knew the land and the best places to hide and where to store ammunition and supplies. Since the British weren't on their home land, they didn't know where to hide or where the bridges were.

  10. In my opinion, I think the strong leading of George Washingtonn was the most important advantage the colonists had. I think this because without him convincing the patriots to fight for little pay the patriots might have had quit= the british winning. George Washington also trained some people who have never really used a weapon to pretty good shooters.-Cody HUghes

  11. I think that home feild advantage is what gave the colonist the heart and passion to defend them selves. Also the fact that they were treated like slaves to britain.

  12. I think that the colonists with the home field advantage was the biggest thing. They knew the land and they knew what they were doing. The colonist knew where to hide and it made it a whole lot easier for them. This was a big disadvantage for the british. Austin Regis

  13. I think the most important advantage the Patriots had were "home field advantage". The reason i say that is because the Patriots were fighting on their land, so they knew where to hide and what shortcuts to take.

  14. The fact that the colonists had the 'home field advantage' really played a part in their victory's. I thought this because, they knew the best escape routes, and they knew where they wouldn't be seen.

  15. Too me, the biggest advantage was part leaders, and part luck. These guys were getting a lot of breaks that help put them in position this war. Howe instead of backing up Burgoyne in the battle of Seratoga, he went to Philedelphia and even tho he won he cause Burgoyne to lose, both generals got fired, and that battle caused Franklin to get the French's navy to help the colonists out. Also, instead of Benedict Arnold listening to Captain Horatio he went on the offensive, which also helped out at the battle of Seratoga. To me, it seemed that if little things here and there went one way, the victor followed.

  16. The biggest advantage was that the colonist knows their surroundings. also another advantage was that the Indians though the colonist gorilla warfare. This helped the colonist by hiding in trees and take out redcoats one by one.

  18. i think that it was most important that they had the heart to win. i thought this because they were on there home ground fighting for their family and the place that they could potentially live for the rest of their lives.
