  1. Now that I am enrolled in the army I feel as if I'm in a hole new world, nothing is the same as home and I miss everyone and everything.
The thing at camp that is my most favorite is the atmosphere, all the excitement and craziness, is everything I ever dreamed of!
The blood of the war scares me the most the way the blood splatters all over my face as the man in front of me gets 3 bullets in his heart.

  4. I (Sergeant Edward Dunn) miss my family and the freedom I had living in an applianced house the most about home. The one thing that I enjoy/like about the camp life would be all the card games. I love to play cards with my fellow solders. And the one thing about war that scares me is the fact that people are losing their lives. I believe that it is a terrible concept.

  5. One thing about home that I really miss is the abundant food supply.During this war, we have bean starving. besides the hunger, camp is pretty fun! My favorite thing to do is to gamble on flea races.once we pack up, and head out for battle, I get terrified! I am always afraid that I will not be returning to my family, just like allot of the other soldiers around me.

  9. One thing at home that I miss the most is my family, and the good food I would always get. Here at camp we don't get as good of food as we did at home. One thing about camp I enjoy is the feeling of being outdoors. I love camping with my men, and being in nature. One thing about war that scares me is the idea that I could die, and not be able to say goodbye to my family.

  10. I really miss that I can't see my 7 kids grow up and I wonder if Mable is doing okay without me and if the slaves are still working like they are suppose to. Camp is fun because you don't have to do much and all the men are fun to have manly conversations with. I am scared of dying now, since I have already lost part of my right leg, the next worse thing is dying.

  11. Now that I am enrolled in camp life I miss everything from home, and everything reminds me of it. But the camp lifes great, I love being able to having long deep conversations with the other soldiers we really get to know each other it reallys helps us get through this tough time where we can't see our families. During war I'm afraid I will die as I promised mother and father I will not. I am afraid my young brother will die and I will have not a choice but to move along and keep fighting. I pray a day like that will not approach.

  14. One of the things that i miss are my my sister Sara and my brother Larry. Camp is fun we get ot play games and share stories and get to know each other more, with that we make new friends. What scares me the most is the thought of losing my life in the battlefield and not being able to see whats left of my family.

  15. i miss my family the most and my wife's good cooking. The only enjoyable part of camp life is the friendliness of all the troops. The thing that scares me the most about this war is the sheer loss of life occurring with each battle fought and that i might be next.
