BLOCK 1/2 only

Let's talk about Junior Achievement. Er... Write about it. What did you learn about money management during this whirlwind unit? What part are you still curious about? Did you opt to do the extra work to raise your grade up to 50/50 or are you taking the 40/50? Discuss.  GO.

  1. Hahah, 'Er...Write about it.' Great end to my Sunday. :)
What I learned is that it's harder to manage your money than I thought. You have to take into a count, food, clotes, morgage, and all the differnt expenses. I'm still wondering about stocks, and how you buy and sell them. And yes I did.

  2. What I learned about money mangement is that you need to buget you cant just go out and spend your money without one. If you do that you'll end up without money. A part Im curious about still Is how to save money in the bank, and what happens to your money when you do put it in the bank. I already did the 50/50 grade.

  3. I learned that it is always important to stay in your budget and have money left over at the end of the month. I'm still curious about stocks but I might learn more about it at the JA park and also I am trying to get 50/50 for the book work.

  5. I learned that money management is hard. I see my parents doing bills and I never got how hard it really is, but now I know that when we buy too much something can go wrong. I did do the other part to the work.

  6. During this whole whirlwind JA money management unit, I learned that handling money takes lot's of work..and math. There is much more to it than it seems. I see why paying bills is hated. (Besides the fact that you have to pay for things.) It's definitely a struggle to sort your money out and make sure you have just enough for every need - especially our group who only made $21,000 a year, and having a 7 year old daughter. It bites but, we found what we can afford to keep a roof over our heads, and have a car to drive us to work so we can make money. It's not easy or fun but, we all have to do it eventually. I am still curious about how if you're making a steady amount of money how do you have left over money for yourself if you have so much to pay for? I decided just to do the 40/50 because, I already have a pretty good grade, and I don't need the extra credit.(:

  8. I learned a lot about money management and stalks and stuff! I kinda liked this lesson because its a good way to get to know the economy and how stalks go up and what we need to look out for! Im taking the 50/50 road to learn more and to get my grade!!

  9. For JA I did the Recreation and Entertainment part, which was probably the easiest one because half of the requirements needed to be free. I learned that even though you have a really low income you can still provide for your family without being being super poor. I still am slightly confused on the whole stocks thing, but i probably will never use stocks when i get older. I did do the workbook work to get the 50/50 points and it wasn't very hard just A LOT of writing. Anyways, I am looking forward to the JA field trip so I can do this stuff in "real" life.

  10. I learned about how important it is to save money and not spend it all on say a new pair of shoes or something that you don't need. I would have liked to spend more on stolks and how those affect your salary. I also did the 50/50.

  11. During the JA course I’ve learned how stocks work and how hard it is to raise enough money even though I still had $700 at the end of the month. And I also finished the extra credit it was really easy.

  14. I learned about how important it is to be careful with how much you spend and to keep some at the end for myself. I only did the 40/50 because I didn't have the time.

  15. During this unit, I learned a lot. I learned that even from 98,000 yearly budget can still be scary to go in dept. Although my group went really cheap, it's still a scary whether it will be in dept or not. I'm still really curious about how taxes work. I can understand we pay tax and it's for the government but they don't have to be raising taxes up every year. Sooner or later it's going to be 100 and we're not even making any money. I on the other hand is doing the extra credit which makes the whole project 100 percent. I'm going to be gone so, I'll turn it in on Monday.. Yeah...
