Blog #8 1/31-2/4

BLOCK 1/ 2 ONLY:

When we read, The Treasure of Lemon Brown, we talked about things we cherish.
Tell your class 3 things you cherish or adore.  Describe in detail what they are and why you cherish them.

My example: I treasure and cherish my family more than I can say, I have two boys and a husband who mean the world to me, not to mention my mother and sister and even my grandmother- they are the most important people in my lives.  Another "thing" I cherish are my friends. My girlfriends are such a huge part of my life and I cannot imagine my life without them. Finally, I treasure the collection of old letters i have kept.  Some of the letters are ones I wrote as a kid, which I find so cute. Some are letters my parents wrote when they were young. I think that letter-writing tells so much about a person and what they are like at that moment in time, like a snapshot. I love reading them and Riley loves me reading them to him!

  2. The 3 things i cherish are my 3 best friends Anastasiya,Savannah and Erica, my family and my blanket that my great grandmother made for my mom and my mom gave to me. I cherish my 3 best friends because their always there for me and they always make me smile and help me with whatever i need help with, either other friend problems etc. i know that they will always be there for me and are great listeners. I cherish my family because they are the people that i really love, their always there for me and cheer me on, especially my mom shes always on my side even when im wrong, she tells me whats right even though i always think shes wrong but at the end shes always right, i also cherish my grandmas because they always give me great advice, and share their experiences with me that they had when they were my age. Last, i cherish my great grandmas blanket because it's something that belonged to her that reminds me of how sweet and a great person she was. That's why i cherish these 3 things the most, out of other things that i cherish.(:

  8. Kelly Says ;

    Three things I cherish to dear life;

    1. First is obviously my family. My mom. My dad. My brother. My sister. My aunt. My grandpa. Doesn't matter who. They are the reason why I am here today, going to school, who I am today, the taught me the things that are right from wrong. Are there for me from the pain and sorrow, to the laughs and happiness. No matter what when the world walks out they will always be there for me, through thick and thin. And I also wanted to say that I cherish my dad. We have the most interesting relationship on this galaxy. But he is my true hero, and he can never replace anyone. I cherish him with everything I have.
    "Blood is thicker then water,family comes first"

    2. The next thing I cherish is pictures. Pictures last longer, and they can have a 1000 meanings to them. Whether it is a picture of my family, or my grandma who passed away, or my best friends I can always look at them and remember the memories I cherished with the person. I know that people say that its just a piece of paper. A paper with meaning. So if there was an earthquake I would grab a picture of my family with me so I can keep them close to my heart.

    3. The last but important thing I cherish is this little statue of two sapphire hearts connected together. I got this statue in Las Vegas. I wonned it just as if the ticket value. "Win tickets, and choose a prize" kind of thing. So what I did was I got that for my grandma. Before my family went on our trip, my grandma was sick. But that didn't stop it from her wanting us to have fun. So as we did, we came back. And she was gone. Now I don't want to get into detail. But I never got a chance to give her this statue. It has two hearts. One is bigger than the other. And it is my grandma's heart and mine. It basically means she is gone but not forgotten. She will always be with me through my darkest hours to the lightest moments. I know that is pretty cheesy. But it is true. She is my hero. Through everything, I still think about her. I work hard for obviously myself, but for my grandmother too. So when I saw my statue sitting next to these flowers I knew she said it looking down. I have it in my room. I look at it every night while listening to soothing music, helps me fallasleep. So I cherish that. <3

    XOXO, Kelly Le.

  9. The three things I cherish would have to be my blanket I've had since I was little, my family, and my soccer jerseys from when I was little. For my family, I can't imagine life without them. They make my life so much more complete and the thought of loosing them is tramatic. My second item is my blanket just for sentamental value. I've had it ever since I was born. Lastly, I chose my soccer jerseys from when I was little because they're associated with very good memories.

  10. I cherish a lot of things. The first thing and the thing that i cherish the most is my UW basketball. I cherish this because i got all the players from this year to sign it when i went to Hawaii and so i think it's pretty valuable. The second thing i cherish a lot are my baseball cards i have that i collected in elementary school. I cherish these cards because some cards i got were from the 80's, 70's, and i also found some pretty good cards. Another thing a cherish a lot is my family because they because i wouldnt be here without them and they help me become a better person. Those are three things i cherish or adore.

  11. I Don't really cherish many things. First, I cherish my friends above all else; I see them everyday; they make me laugh, happy, and practically keep me sane. Second would have to be my family. My Family has been there through the good and the bad. My 3rd item would have to be my house. i have lived here for my whole life and probably will until i get out of highschool.

  12. I defiantly cherish my family. Without my family i would be all alone save my friends and i don't know how to cook so i would be eating ramen noodles for every meal. Another thing i cherish is my computer because i know im lucky to have my own computer and not have to share it with everyone in my family. The third thing i am thankful/cherish is all my pets because they are almost more important to me than my family and i defiantly love them.

  14. The three things that i cherish are very important to me
    The first one is the huge stuffed dog that i got when i was just 4 years old. The dog is black and his name is Blackie. That dog was my best friend, i took him everywhere. When i was sick and had to stay home frommm school he always made me feel better and was right by my side the entire time.
    The second thing that i cherish is this little orange and green blanket that my aunt made my mom when she was a little girl that i later got when i was a baby.
    The third thing that i cherish isn't really something that i like, it is something that can always make me and my friends laugh...my newborn baby picture. I look like my face is swollen and bruised, in other words my whole body is purple. The doctors thought that i wasn't breathing, they were wrong.

  15. I cherish my dog more than words can describe. We watch America's Next Top Model together, we go on walks, and he never runs away, like your friends might. He's my little brother for life (: I also treasure my hot tub. I know it sounds stupid, but whenever I'm stressed or it's just plain cold, it's so nice to be able to relax in 105 degree water <3 Most of all, I cherish my life and family. So many people don't have a family that would do anything for them. I am so thankful for my life and everyone who loves me. That is something no amount of money, stuffed animal, or picture can replace. Xoxo

  16. 1) My best friend, he's always there for me, we talk about almost anything and could turn something like a bird flying past the window into a three hour conversation about that.
    2) pictures, my mum is a photographer, and so i learned very quickly that you may be able to save an entire days worth of memories in one shot. if i could only bring one thing with me on an island far away, it'd have to be a three hundred page (double sided) photo book. I don't know what could be better than seeing all friends old and new.
    3) My family and friends, with a recent death in the family it just made me realize how close we all are. If i needed somewhere to stay i know i could call someone and withing ten minutes i could find a place to stay. they really are there for me, i don't know what i would do if i didn't have all they're support, i grew up the oldest out of five, so i know how important they all are.
    I know that these are probably the top three, but i also think that i cherish the fact i live in America, because I have a chance to get a good education, an opportunity to get a job, and live in a place where it's possible to get everything i need in someplace like a supermarket instead of having to starve or scavenge for food.

I cherish my friends, because they are always there to give me company, and have good times together. Lastly my community. The Highlands is one of the best places to live in Renton, because all of the people are friendly, and there are allot of kids my age.

  19. I don't cherish much items, all I care about is the happiness of my family and friends. If I had to, i cherish all the pictures that I have. I mean pictures have so much to say while saying nothing. I cherish my family the most. I would trade everything if I can get my family back together and not fighting with each other. I mean, come on, we're family, we're suppose to be there for each other not talking trash about each other behind each others back, or steal from each other, others gamble and lose money. Gosh, I wish they could see what they're doing wrong but behind that stupid decision they make, I still love them, they're family. I cherish all the friends that are there for me. They're my friends what else can I say.

    BUT I guess I also cherish all the haters that hate me but are too scared to come and tell me. It's really funny how with they power of the internet, they think they can "hide" and be anonymous. They make my day<3

  20. The things I most cherish are probably things most people might not cherish like my very first siffed animal I got when I was in the hospital as I was born. I was told that my brother and sister were extremely exsited to give me my first stuffed animal! Also I charish my first baby picture. I have always had an obsetion of baby pictures. They always hit my soft spot. No matter what I will always keep my baby picture! A third thing I cherish most is my family. I have to admit my family is CRAZY. as I have grown up with my mother and her sisters....my aunts sad toi say! They call eachother "sister" insted of calling eachother by name.

  21. I don't have too many things that I especially cherish but I could never leave out my family and friends because they're always there for me, even for the small things. I'm also just thankful that I live in an easier time where instead of needing to walk or ride a horse every where, we have airplanes, cars, and even computers and the internet to get information from one place to another quickly.

  25. My family is my most cherished item. Witout them, I don't know what I'd do. A lot of teenagers say they hate their parents, but mine are actually pretty cool. They take us to a lot of places and we're always doing something fun. And my sisters are my best friends. They understand everything and they're really fun to be around!
    My second most cherished item is probably pictures of my family and friends. It reminds me of all the good times we've had. And my third most treasured item is my friends because when I'm at school they always are fun to be around and hang out with.

  27. 3 things I cherish are my family because with out them I would have no one to make fun of or talk to about how my day was or no one that could help me, I also cherish my grades, not in the way I love but the way of how important I think they are, and the 46 inch T.V. in my room because with out it I couldn’t brag about it right now.
