Welcome to the big bad world of blogging!
Hello everyone and welcome to our classroom blog. This blog will serve as a weekly online journal entry. It will be a way to earn points for Language Arts class but SO much more. It will be a way for you to get your voice out there! Every week there will be a discussion topic/question posted by yours truly and it will be your job to respond. Your response may be in direct relation to the topic or may be a comment about another student's response. The topics will vary but your job will remain the same. Respond to the topic in as much detail as you find necessary and in as genuine a matter as possible!

1) I do watch the news!(: I listen to what's going on when I watch. I don't normally read the news. Sometimes when watching the news on King5 or something, I like to hear how our nation is dealing with things.
ReplyDelete2) It's important to be able to have the freedom to write what you want because you have your opinion on what's going on. Not everyone can have the same thought's and idea's. We all can say something different and how we want to. Also we want to voice our opinion in what we believe is right because sometimes that can make a big change in our country.

I only watch the news when there is absolutely nothing else on and when Glee or Bones, my two top favorite shows, aren't on. I don't really know how you can listen to the news.(Your ipod?)I find out about whats happening in the world by my parents or the internet. It is important that the Bill of Rights allows the press to write what they please so that they can write about world disasters, like tsunamies, stocks and other important stuff-Wendy Fillman
ReplyDelete1. I watch the news at night with mom on TV. We like to see what the weather is going to be like and the latest gossip!
ReplyDelete2. This is an important right because without this right we would be angry and probably at war fighting for us to voice our opinion like the colonists were.
P.S- I capitilized!
I don't watch, read, or see the news, i hear it from my Mom or my friends who see it on http://www.yahoo.com/
ReplyDeleteI belive that if there wasn't a freedom of speech in the press, we would never know what was conrevesial in the world
I see the news on the internet and maybe once in a while glance at a news channel. Usually I hear it from my parents. The freedom of speech is an important right because if not, we would probably be controlled over what we think. Everyone has the right to share their opinions and the press would share their opinions with us. Like Jake said, without the press, we would never know whats going on in the world. -Ben Tran
ReplyDelete1.) I sometimes watch the news, it just depends what I have going on that day or if my parents have it on. Sometimes I listen to it on the radio but not as often.
ReplyDelete2.)It is important because without this right the community might not get the whole story and the government could keep things secret from us, which would not be a good thing!:( Also, people have different opinions and they should be able to express them..

1) I don't really hear about news unless its a big deal. I don't watch it, I don't read the newspaper, and I don't ask about it. I only hear about it from blurbs on the internet.
ReplyDelete2)The freedom to write what you want is important because its a way to voice opinions and tell information. Without this right stories could be biased and make everyone have the same opinion.

1. I really don't watch the news but sometimes before school I watch the news until the weathers on but thats really it.Though I read the news off off my homepage, yahoo, sometimes. Other times I watch online blogs and videos like on yahoo's who knew. which are more interesting then the plain old news.
ReplyDelete2. I think this is important because everybody has different thoughts and idea but not everyone could expose them without this right and news would not have come along as fast as it does today!
I don't do any of those things listed because I find it extremly boring and can not stand it. But I do hear my parents talk about it every so often. Unlike me they find it interresting. I will hear some news for my friends once in a while.
ReplyDeleteIt's very important that we have free speech if we didn't we would have to go by whatever is said and not beable to say how you feel about it.
The only news i really watch or listin to or read is football stats and scores. i typically read it in sports illistarted. its importand to be able to have the right to spread the news so that everyone around the states nos the news and can use the news
ReplyDeleteI don’t watch listen or read the news. I find out what is going on in the world by people telling me, the computer or listening to music. This is an important right because without it there might be a mutiny against our government.
ReplyDelete1. I sometimes watch the news when my mom is watching it befor I go to school. It gets really boring sometimes but sometimes they might show something that is really important.
ReplyDelete2. I think that the bill of rights is immportant because it alowes people to live there lives without being a slave.
Well every morning i watch the news before i come to school. Something like Komo 4 were they usually do breaking news around the world. Thats how i usually here about it otherwise i see news on msn.com. Freedom of speech is very important i think in news because there is always two sides to a story and both of those need to be heard.
ReplyDeleteI hardly ever watch the news. i hear about things if people are talking about it or there ar commercials about it. We need to hear some things, like if there will be some kind of natural disaster or if there is a murderer near you. if you did not know thes things, then you would not know wha is going on around you.
ReplyDeleteI am not the person that will look at the newspapper every morining ,but I will watch the news on tv. Having the right to have the freedom write is a very good thing. There would be no question "if we didn't have the freedom to write" some time or another someone would fight for that freedom.
ReplyDeleteI sometimes watch the news in the morning but I usually find out what's going on through my mom. Freedom of speech is very important because everybody should have the right to voice their opinion. Without freedom of speech everything would be biased. We would only hear one side of the story. Like Scout said there are two sides of a story and both need to be heard.

1. My family watches the news every night. I watch it to but I dont like it as much cause it is always about murders robberys and bad weather. The news is good though cause it could save your life in some events. If my aunt wouldnt have seen the news about the storm a couple years ago she would of been crushed by a tree.
ReplyDelete2.This is important because some killer in the woods could say they didnt want people knowing that he is in the woods and people could go into the woods unknowing and be killed
I watch the news occasionally when I come home and my parents are watching it. the bill of rights is important so that our country isn't all about our government. This way our entire country can communicate and a free manor. if only the government were on the news then people on the other side of the country wouldn't know about the twin toweres getting destroyed. i am glad to be able to trust peopl on the news and that we have the bill of rights.-jordan carlson
ReplyDeleteUsually, I only WATCH the news for the weather, and when I don't have anything else to do. But, the way I see what's going on in the world and stuff, is I just look at the news online, if I see something interesting. Freedom of speech is very important, because there are different opinions in the world, and everybody falls into one of the categories. It's good to share different thoughts and opinions, and there are also two sides to a story.

I started to read the paper recently so i know whats happening. I guess i would also just talk to my dad about what happened instead. Freedom of speech is important because without this there would be no tv shows or papers. Everyone is entitled to freedom of speech.
ReplyDeleteMikey D out yall peace$$
I watch the news once in a while buti getmost the newsi hear from the radio
ReplyDeleteItsimportantthatwecan writewhat we wantbecause we can write about what we believe is important
The only thing that I really do that has to do with the news is just listen to what friends or classmates have to say, which is kinda gossip, and i also get news info from my dad and mom.
ReplyDeleteFreedom of speech is important because it allows both sides of the story to be told.
I Sometimes watch the news, it kinda depends on if I have time. I read the newspaper sometimes too. Freedom of speech is important because everyone's opinion is just as important as the next. Some opinions can even change other's.
