  4. So I decided to play "Ashokan Farewell" when I was writing (I'll use that tip all the way through college) to make my writing more heartfelt. Without stopping the song, I decided to check out the blog. Ashokan Farewell+Civil War pictures= cry.
I feel like I'm a Union soldier reminiscing about my time in service. T__T
I miss our class a lot. A LOT A LOT.

  7. Hey Mrs. Nadell! Well duh we will visit. And it is over halfway through the summer, less than a month! Any advice for new freshman? How do we make sure we don't annoy our elderly peers? And how on earth do we make a fantastic impression to our teachers? The first day is coming up! And I know I will look different to everybody because I now have braces!

Hope you have fantastic people in your classes this year. Even though I think that you cant beat last years classes. Again only a month left, this will be the last homework free month I have for a while.

  8. Mrs. Nadell, I miss you so much! My English and World Studies teachers this year are really great, but no one can beat you, honestly. Our class was so great. How are your classes this year? What are the students like? My mom told me that she had said hi to you briefly at curriculum night, but I haven't talked to you in nearly three months and that's CRIMINAL!
Anyway, I hope to hear from you soon.

    1. Hey Astrid

My classes are fine. We are no longer blocked so I see 150 kids throughout the day as opposed to the same 60- it is hard to get used to and a bit confusing. I am worried about how it will affect our CW simulation... Oh well. I want to hear all about LHS and life as a high schooler! I miss everyone loads and loads.

  9. Hello Mrs. Nadell! How have you been doing these days? As I had stated before, I'm in NJROTC now, and I came back from boot camp about a week ago! It's actually pretty fun, and very challenging of course. It has changed the way I think quite a bit, and participation becomes increasingly important as the days pass. As for my English and World Studies classes, I feel like nothing can beat your classes, ever, but I guess I have to bear with these classes now don't I?haha. I heard about the schedule changes for Humanities; that sucks, I feel like they won't be able to get the true awesome feeling of the civil war simulation. But you are Mrs. Nadell, and anything with Nadell is COOOOOOL. Well, the year has only started, so I don't have much to say, but I'll try to get the others to come here and tell you about their freshmen lives so far! See you soon!

P.S. They have swords(or sabers, I forgot) in the NJROTC room! :O reminds me of the time Mr.Mazza brought in one. Man, do I miss the days of the Civil War Simulation and being a private... XD

    1. Hi Samantha, JROTC- super cool! And serious from what I gather. Yes no more Humanities. It is strange and really sad, a period of mourning I guess. I miss having a group for 2 hours- that is the way I truly get to know them. Right now I have some amazing kids but only for one period and off they go-- so it is different.

I was just talking to Mr. Mazza about coming back this spring with his sabers and such- so great that you remember.

Keep in touch kiddo- I miss you too!

  11. MRS. NADELL! Ahhhh I miss you and our 3/4 block so much it is unbelievable. How is everything at Maywood? Those 8th graders better be treating you well or I might need to have a talk with them one of these days. (: It's so fun at Liberty but I miss the Maywood family. Maywood definitely had the BEST teachers. My computer background is still the picture of everybody we took on the last day of school that you posted on the blog. That picture is my favorite thing in the world, it reminds me of all the memories we had last year. And frankly, I don't have the heart to change my background, the picture means too much to me. I got some frozen yogurt over the weekend and I remembered when Dayton got us all froyo. I sat there in the froyo shop just giggling over the memories and everyone gave me a weird look. This of course caused me to laugh even harder. Anyways, I really need to come and visit you one of these days. I've visited after school before and saw a lot of teachers, but sadly you weren't there! I need to get the whole 3/4 block together and we'll all walk down to Maywood after school together and it'll just be like old times.
