  2. The bill of rights are the first 10 amendments. The bill of rights pretect citizen rights. It maters because without them people could hurt other people and go crazy on distroying peoples property. So far i haven been intrested on any topic in the bill of rights besides the right to have guns... i really think that people should be aloud to have guns but have to have background checks so that guns dont get to the wrong people

  4. The bill of rights is part of the constitution. Bill of rights state rules of living as a U.S. citizen. This should matter to me right now because in the future I may be stuck in the law or something that I should know the points of the law and stuff. The topic that peaks my interest is probably the one about freedom of speech&religion. I'm pretty passionate when it comes to things and I think it would be wrong that I couldn't have freedom of speech. Plus I am a really strong catholic (idk how i would word that). But It would suck that I was forbid to pray or something. So yeahh..

  5. The Bill of Rights is the first ten amendments to the constitution. Should it matter to us? Definitely. Any part of our government should definitely be understood by everyone, even middle school students. For me personally, the first and eighth amendments are what I'm most interested in. The first amendment allows us freedom of speech, religion, press, etc. When I hear about places that don't allow people to practice their own religions and traditions, it makes me sick. I'm an atheist, but I have a strong respect for all religions. Except, of course, any that hurt people or disrespect other beliefs. Another component of the first amendment is freedom of speech, which I feel very strongly about. Not only do I have a lot to say, but I want to know what others have to say. Freedom of speech is really an amazing thing, because with it, the world has this completely organic debate going on constantly. And it's derived from our differences. Maybe you can tell I'm a strong supporter of debate. In regards to the eighth amendment, it's a very large part of my moral code to respect every person's inherent worth and dignity. That's why I'm against the death penalty. I don't think we, as humans, have the right to end another human's life. No matter what they've done. I also believe this because I think that there are things worse than death.

  7. The Bill Of Rights is the first TEN amendments in the constitution. It matters alot, it protects our Rights. These are the rights that no one can take away. It should matter a great deal to you, the Africans didn't get these rights for a long time because they weren't considered human. So if the constitution was suddenly taken away and you lost all rights you couldn't do much. The Bill Of Rights is something that should be of great importance, its not something we all just have it can be taken away. I think you should be thankful that you have the BOR. To me the most interesting topic is religion. Alot of religions, like Jewish for example, the weren't aloud and the people who lived the standards and believed in those principles were percicuted or killed. The Nazi's killed the Jews and alot of the Mormons back way back when got killed too. Its your right to believe what you want, to have faith in what you want. Its interesting that people often fear what they don't understand and alot of people don't understand certain religions and they try to wipe them out. They don't realize that the people don't mean them harm. Our founders made the first amendment have religion in it, which goes to show they didn't want a fixed religion that you had to join even if you didn't believe. They wanted everyone to be able to have their own religion or not one at all.

  8. the bill of rights are, A statement of the rights of a class of people, in particular, The first ten amendments to the US Constitution.
these amendments tell the u.s. citizens what our rights are in the U.S.A!! it matters to me and everyone else becuase without these we wouldnt have rights, we wouldnt know what are rights are, and we wouldnt be a verry goood nation... the amendment that is the most interesting to me is the 9th amendment witch allows us to do anything we want as long as its not dangering somone/something else. and the 1st amendment that allows us to belive in anything/anyone we want. and just the plain freedom!!!!

  9. Death is a release not a punishment, i agree with Astrid. No one has the right to kill another.
Jesus said "let the person with no sins cast the first stone" I sure ain't sinless, no one is so no has the right to cast the first stone.

  11. The bill of rights is part of the U.S constitution. An it's the first ten amendments. It's important because its the rules that tells you what you can do and can not do. The topic that peaks my interest is freedom of speech and religion which is the first amendment. I think it's cool to get to know what other people do for their type of religion that they practice. And it's also interesting how other people in the world gives free speeches that describe their opinions.

  17. The bill of rights is the ten amendments to the united states constitution. This matters because every united states citizen knows that these rights are defense mechanisms made to protect our liberties. My favorite is the second amendment, especially because it's under fire at this very moment.

  18. the bill of rights are the ten amendments that give us as us citizens freedom. this should matter to me because without the bill or rights I wouldnt have any freedom. neither would anyone else. my favorite amendment is the 1st amendment because there is so many parts to it that without the 1st amendment, we couldnt do a lot of things.

  19. The Bill of rights is a set of principles in the constitution that allows us certain things. This matters because it gives us freedom to say things and have rights. My favorite is the 1st because it allows us to have a say in the government and lets us practice what religion we believe in.
