Hello everyone and welcome to our classroom blog. This blog will serve as a weekly online journal entry. It will be a way to earn points for Language Arts class but SO much more. It will be a way for you to get your voice out there! Every week there will be a discussion topic/question posted by yours truly and it will be your job to respond. Your response may be in direct relation to the topic or may be a comment about another student's response. The topics will vary but your job will remain the same. Respond to the topic in as much detail as you find necessary and in as genuine a matter as possible!

I think that the polls show that the election is close because every one is thinking witch canadate that can give us a boost our economy for the nxt four years. What is interseting to me is that the two canadates are closer then i thought.
ReplyDeleteI think the polls show that the election is close because the people of America are voting on the candidate who will jump start this economy and get it rolling again. Because its so close I'm scared/excited to see who will win this race to be president. This has been interesting for me and this has been a good learning experience also to know what's going on and get to know a little bit about the two political parties ideas for the next four years.

The polls show that i think because people are very in the middle this election year, becuase they are both good candidates.I think that whoever wins will be good, becuase the people will decide. No it is not.

i Think they are close becuase alot of people like obama but they others like romney. i think that its weird for them to be really close. i do think its intersting becuase they both are trying to be president for to diffrent resons.

i think that the polls show that the election is so close because some people want a change and others think that what we have now is fine. the last election it seemed pretty obvious who was going to win(in my mind at least) so now that the candidates are really close to each other this election. it is sorta interesting to me because i would like to know what this country is getting into (good or bad) and who the president is going to be.

I think that the polls show thst this electioon will be close because everyone wants the better canidate to make the us a better place. I dont really think about it at all and its not that intresting.

I think the elections are so close because, everyone is splitted in half. Like some people are Republicans and the other half are Democrats. So that makes them fairly close. And I think that it does make sense because some people agree and disagree what the candidates debate on. And the election is not that important to me, because I don't need to vote yet. But maybe in a 5 years this will be really important.

I think they show that the polls are so close because allot of people don't know who will actually do what they say. I thought that Obama would win for sure but its actually really close.This is interesting to me because i actually get how the election works this year.

The polls were close because people wanted to the things that were most important to them so there were people on both sides of the parties. The campaign interests me a little but it not my absolute favorite thing

i think that the polls show it i a close election becuase, the election is so close and about half the population likes obama and the other half likes romney so that is why it shows it so close. what i think about it is that it is all crazy to me like i just dont understand why they cant print more money i mean if were out of it why not. but also the fact that both of them have great resons to be presedent, but then agein everyone desers a secound chance to show they can make a difference, soooooo. and yes and no it is and isnt interesting to me.......

I think they are going to be very close because some people didn't like Obama and want a new pres. but some people did like Obama and want to keep him. To be honest, I don't really care who wins the election because I think they would both be good presidents. I also don't think it's important to me because I don't really have a say anyways.

I honestly don't know why it's so close. I seem to remember that is wasn't that close last year. I really am intrigued by politics, and I think that I understand them pretty well. I'm very passionate about many social issues, so who runs our country and decides these things is very important to me. I hope someday (if it's still around when I'm an adult) I can be on the electoral college. My mum says that it isn't very hard to get onto because not a lot of people want to do it because it doesn't pay. But I would want to do it so I could have a louder political voice. I don't think the electoral college is very fair though. At one point in this yer's election, Mitt Romney had the popular vote, and yet Barack Obama had the most electoral college votes. While I was rooting for Obama, it didn't seem fair to those who were in favor of Romney. I also think that it isn't fair that you have to be a registered Republican or Democrat. What if you're undecided? What if you're Green Party? What if you're socialist? There are too many variables to restrict people to the two parties. There's a lot more that I could say, but I think this is already pretty long. Sorry.... :)

I think the polls show the election is so close because this year the condidates are really close and alot of people want a change but other want what we have already. Its very interesting to me that its such a close race i was sure that Romney would win but Obama did...so strabge how these things work. Ya know what? Romney should have won because he had the most popular votes i think it was rigged or something. I think we should like get rid of the electoral colledge because our vote doesn't seem to count anymore.

I think it is close because half the country thinks that obama can fix the economy. The other half thinks that obama has had enough time to try to fix this country and its time to have a new person take charge. I was surprized that obama won because he was the first presedent to be realected after a depretion.i think many other people are shocked also. I think that when it comes to voting for presedent it should depend on the popular vote. Its what the people want. Not just what a few people want. Also because everyone has a opinon it seams fair to me that the presedent should be chosen by thepeople total. All the republians against the democrats.because u may have alot of republicans in one state but have a few more democrats and then the democrats get the votes.it just doesnt seem fair.

I am not really sure why the polls seem so close. It may be because all the votes were very close and almost could have been a tie. The whole elction thing interests me because it is up to the citizens to vote but it also gets put through the elctoral college which I didn't know before. The whole process is interesting. This does'nt benifit me though because i can't vote yet! But it is good to know how to and why it IS so important. But I did have a feeling that Obama was going to win.

I think the race was so close because both candidates had pros/cons. This was also a tight race because the country is so diverse nowadays and people have several diffrent opinions. I'm not SUPER interested in politics...but I'm glad I understand them for now. I still have 2 more elections before I can vote...:(

I find the election really interesting because it about our country so this unit was probably my favorite and i was happy that barack Obama won that was how my parent voted for and i agreed with them.

I think the election is so close because both canidetes have alot of the same charming qualities but have wildly different views on soime of the issues we currently have in the country and that makes it so voters can always find the correct person that represents the sollutons to the probloms they beleive are important.

I really had no idea what either side supported besides the fact that Obama supported Gay marriage, and Gay marriage is a big part of my religion (Unitarian) so of course this is the reason I support President Obama. This unit was over all not very interesting becuase the who concepet of laws is still pretty confusing :P. I mean, I can understand the basics like don't drink and drive and don't do drugs like cocaine and crack but I don't get some of the more complicated laws. Again, overall it's all really confusing. And I find myself not yet smart enough to know all this so that I can make a good decision. I also don't know why it was so close of an election. Romney has a lot of bad ideas about what America should be like. For example: he thinks that gay marriage is wrong, and that abortion should be outlawed. The world is overpopulated as it is so why have it be more populated from all of the times that someone doesn't want a baby in their life and someone denies them and abortion. Gay people are technacally saving the world from overpopulation anyway so why not let them get married? Anyway, sorry about the rant! Thanks :)
