Block 1/2 Only!
As the Colonists were starting to feel unhappy with their boss- er... King George, they started to think about revolting. The goal was to one day have their own country, with their own set of rules to follow- fair rules where they had a say. And they started to conduct super secret meetings where they made these new rules and dreamt about what freedom would bring. If you were a fly on a wall at one of these meetings, what sort of things do you think they envisioned for their new country- what rules would they want or not want? What did the DREAM BIG about?

i think that they would dream big about ruling more than the amount of land that they have now. some rules that they might apply to the colonies could be to speak mind but dont get out of control with it, respect the government, and others within the colonies. maybe no huge taxing or no evil tyrant can rule.

i think they would be talking about battle strategies. its no use making the rules if you cant break free and make them public. ways to have freedom without total anarchy too.

I think they would see themselves as free people under there own ruling. They would've able to go where ever they want and to trade to who ever they want

If a secret meeting was planned, then they would probably trying to get away from the king or everyone protests to stop paying expensive taxes. Maybe even, deciding to move away from the country and finding somewhere they can get away from the King.

Well first of all if i was a fly the first thing on my mind would be to go annoy the heck out of some people and dodge their swinging arms... anyway they would probably be thinking about a no tax rule and peace everywhere and no harmful ruler...... kindof like a hippie commune(:

I think they would talk about how they dislike what is happening in their country and then they would go into the discussion about revolt plans and then battle stratiges and what they plan to do. Then they would go into action, dreaming about freedom and the power to rule themselves. And like Caitlin said, they would talk about not having a toatl anarchy but not having to be ruled by a king.

I think that they would talk about ways to say no to the taxes. They might even talk about what idems to get rid of. They could also talk about what areas they should do a sneek atack on the britans.

I think they might bream big about being able to not be ruled by the king, and the fact that one day they would want to own their own land and be able to make more money then they have already been making..... i think they would like the rules to be, being able to controll their own land ans for FREEDOM!!!!!! And i think they would be talking about a way to fight agenst the kings rules and a way to be/get free, that is what type of things would be happening when they talked in a meeting....YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think they would dream about having freedom. And maybe someday have their own country and not to be push around by England. They wanted to control the tax pays and seize evil tyrant. But most of all they wanted their own rights!... :)

They just wanted to be free in the New World. By being free, that means no taxes to pay for a war they didn't want, being able to migrate westward, keeping contact with the Indians and more things that the rules didn't let them do.

If i was a fly on the wall in one of these secret meetings i imagine i would hear things like no new taxes without the peoples consent or colonists will only have to house themselves not some stupid lobsterback I would also probobly hear that the people can expand to where ever they would like and can tradee whith whomever they like.

If I was a fly on a wall in one of the secret meetings, I would hear a few things. On of them would be: we should have independence from the king and England. Another thing would be: no more taxes. Finally: Lets get rid of the british solidiers.

If i was there i think the men in that room (founding fathers) would speak of equal opprotunity for all men and the dream of taxation with representation. They would consider all the lives lost in the war and all the lives saved in the future victory.
ReplyDeleteGarrett H2os
i alos think they would all speak there own mind, they would have their own rules and trade with anyone they wanted. they would also have there own government but well with there ruling.

I think I would hear about no more taxes and no more soldiers. Also, maybe I might hear about how freedom would be and how badly they wanted to take over.

If i was a fly on the wall and i was in the meeting i would hear many things. I would hear about how they wish not to be run by the king and to be free. Also i would hear how they wish they didnt have taxes on everything.
ReplyDeleteJason Hurwitz
