Let's start thinking about our BIG OLD RESEARCH PAPER. You get to pick the topic you will write about. The only requirement is that you research an issue in the Bill of Rights. Maybe you will write about banning the Death Penalty, or reducing gun control laws. Maybe you will research corporal punishment or maybe you will write about school uniforms. This is your choice but you must pick wisely, as you will be living with this topic for several weeks.
For this blog, I want you to brainstorm some topic choices and ask for feedback from the class. Your post must be two sentences minimum in length, but please return to respond to others!

I'm pretty sure I'm going to do my research paper on the Death Penalty. It's a good topic because there are so many pros and cons on this topic, and you really have to think hard to decide on what side you are going to be on. I'm still going to see what other topics you share this week, to make my final choice on what topic I want to do.

i think i wold like to do my paper on school uniforms and how everyone has the right to express themselves. i might also like to do death penalty but i am not too sure on what yet. maybe on teeen curfew-i am against it. Any ideas on what to do for any one of them.
ReplyDeleteI think I'll probably do the death penalty as my research paper explaining why I think that we should keep the death penalty, but since a lot of people are doing it, I might not. I can write a lot about this topic because I have a strong opinion on it, but once again, everyone's doing it.

I think I am doing my paper on the right to bare arms, it seems like a bid deal because of all the different opinions, because at the binging I thought guns should be out law but now it seams it would be like taking away being safe
ReplyDeleteI am planning on doing my report on gun control and the 2nd amendment. I will cover how laws need to be a lot stricter to help prevent criminals from getting firearms and of course the people who think that there should be less laws. I personally think there should be way stricter rules on purchasing guns so it will be difficult to write an unbiased paper.

ReplyDeleteYour paper should be BIASED it is a persuasive paper- I want it very biased. You will acknowledge the other side in your 3rd body paragraph but then you will show us why they are wrong. So if you feel strongly about this subject- then be as biased as you want!- MRs. Nadell
Well I kinda figured out my topic in class, but I'm doing gay marriage. It doesn't fit in the first 10 amendments but it goes with the 14th ammendment.

Majority of the class seems to be either doing Death penalty or gun control and I guess those would have to be the second and eighth amendment.
I'm going to do my article on the death penalty for juveniles. One thing that i could need help on is some more websites that i could find jevenile death penalty articles instead of just death penalty articles.If anybody can help me with that it would be nice.

I am doing the paper on gun ban. I am being specific about the banning of assault rifles. I believe that assault rifles should be banned, because it is scarier if someone is pointing a AK47 at you, rather than a hand gun.

ReplyDeleteIan... I totally agree with you on the gun control. I think that if they make a law that makes it almost impossible for criminals to get guns, then the rest of us wouldn't have to walk around with a gun to protect ourselves.
