In A Light in the Forest, Half-Arrow brings True Son presents to remind him of his Indian Home. He brings him corn so that he is well-fed; mocassins to be well-clothed; and his bearskin rug to remind him of his father and to be warm at night.
If you were sent from your home and could bring three items to remind you of where you came from- what would they be. Make sure to give your reason for each!

If I was sent away from my home, um, I would bring a picture of my whole family including every distant cousin and aunts and uncles, so I could have a memory of them. I would also bring my Kindle, so that if the journey was long and boring or where ever I am going I won't get bored. The last thing I would bring would be a cook book of the foods I would normally eat at home because if my mommy isn't coming with me and the place I am going serves disgusting food I could make my own food and enjoy and not have to starve myself.These are the three I would bring from home but if the question would give examples to what I could bring prople I would shove my whole family into my house and bring my house along. Oh and this week is Halloween so happy halloween! BOO! - Raman
ReplyDeleteI think the three items I would bring are my bass guitar, ipod and my teddy bear♥ I would bring my bass guitar because, I have had great time playing it. My dad's helped me learn how to play notes and rhythms. So I guess it would help me remind me of my dad. I would bring my ipod 'cause I would be able to listen to my favorite music and music is a big part in my life that each one in my family shares. I was named after Geddy Lee from RUSH. So I guess it would help me remember why I was named Geddy. For my teddy bear, I would bring it because it makes me think of when I was little. The good times I had, or when I was so scared of something I would grab my Teddy Bear and wouldn't let go of it. So Those are the three things I would bring and why(:

ReplyDeleteThree things I would bring would be my favorite things even if it didnt even remotley remind me of America. My first and most important thing would be my dog. I would bring her because she is a great do and she never argues with me. Cheyanne is also the only one who will listen to me talk...My second thing i would bring is my computer. I love my laptop and its my life. Its possible to become a millionare just becuase of your own website. So if i got $1,000,000 I could move back to America. My third thing would be my drawing pad. I love to draw and you could also make alot of mula to move back to America. Drawing is fun and its a great time killer.
three items i would bring with me are my adidas adipure soccer ball because soccer is my life, i sleep with my ball and someday i will play professional soccer in europe. The second item is my cactus grean mercurial vapors because they mean so much to me, i clean them and always use the best treatment and protection of them. The last item i would choose is a family album, i would choose this because i could see all the great times my family and i had. I would never be lonely with these items, that is why i choose these three items. : )
ReplyDeleteThree things I would have to take with me to a distant land would have to be 1. my laptop because I can't live without it, and it has everything on it like pictures, notes, and random stuff that I've typed up. 2.would be my ipod because I would need the music to drown out the world, and 3. would be a cell phone so that I could call the people I left behind because there was no rule saying that I would never talk to them again

If i could bring 3 things from home I would take a photo album of ALL of my friends and family so i would never be with out them. Second i would bring my laptop, also like Tristan, if they have internet connection in the woods, so that i would never get bored. And finally i would bring my camera to take a zillion pictures of where ever i went-Wendy out
ReplyDeleteI would probly bring my i pod, my football jersey and my black hit squad socks. I would bring the i pod because i love my music and i listin to it everyday unless im grounded. I would bring my football jersey becasue i love playing football and it would remind of football and my love for the sport. i would bring the hit squad socks because they are themost comfurtable and soft socks i have and their warm.

A second Item would be a Basketball because I would be able to practice my skills and get physical exercise. ReplyDeleteThree things that I could have from home if I was taken away. I would want those items to be my stuff animal Denis because he is the only thing I have from when I was little. Then there is a book called the couragous princess which is my favorite book. The last item would be my super comfy blanket because I love to be warm and sleeping.
ReplyDeleteIf I could only take three things with me to somewhere new I would bring a photo album, comfortable and lightweight clothes, and my dog. I would bring my photo album because then I could remember what everyone looked like. I wouldn't forget anyone and I could remember all the good times I had with them. I would bring comfortable and lightweight clothes so that I could use them for anything. If need be they could work as a rope or if I got caught in the rain I would dry quickly. Or I could easily lounge in them if I had time to just relax. I would bring my dog because he wouldn't get lost and he's part of the family. He would be someone to cuddle with and would act as a support crutch.

If I were to bring 3 things to remind me of home I would bring my phone my baseball glove and my pets. I like to use my phone for calling or texting people. My baseball glove to remind me of all the baseballgames I played with it. And my pets because I would take care of them.

ReplyDeleteWell for me I would bring my itouch so I could play aps and listen to my music. Secondly I would bring along my phone so I could keep in contact with the outside world. Last but not least I would take my xbox consol for sure that way I can still play xbox live with friends and its like I'm not even gone.

I would bring my puppy maci because like Tristin, she is the only one I can talk to and I love her. I would bring my camera too remeber the good times and to take pictures and a kindle because I love to read and I would nrever become bored.

Also i would bring a laptop since i can use the internet and check eboards if i was not at school since that is the only use for a computer (sarcasm) the last item would probably be a bike to travel.

My 3 items that I would from home would be first off my Hockey stick, so I could practice my favorite sport. My second would be my big hockey blanket because it is made of fleece and keeps you really warm. And finally my third item that I woul bring would have to be my Addidas shoes because they are super comfortable.
ReplyDeleteI would bring Michael Phelps, a saddle and a stick with a gold medal at the end of it. Ha ha! But really, if I was taken from my family, i would bring my ipod to keep me entertained, my dog to keep me company, and a solar powered quad to get me where I need to be.

I would bring my skis because that would remind of all the great times i had in Washington with my dad and friends. I would bring my flip because i have endless amounts of videos of my friends and i could also take videos. Last but not least the mountain bike. I would bring this so i could ride, jump and drop around.

ReplyDeleteI would bring my cell phone because I honestly just can't live without it, I have pictures of my family and friends so I won't forget them and I have some entertainment in my life. I would bring rice because without it I might just die, and I would have something to eat. My last option would have to be my I pod because it calms be down and music is just my life I don't know what I would do without my I pod.
If I were taken from my home I would want to bring a picture of my family and house so that I could see them all the time. I would also want to bring some music to listen to because it would remind me of playing my piano at home. Last I would like to bring my dog so i wouldn't have to leave her behind and dogs are fun.

The three items i would bring are my phone, so i would be able to talk to my friends, my turyle because i have had him for a few years and i like him alot, and he's supposed to live for 60 more years.i would bring my bike to remind me of biking with my friends at duthie hill.
ReplyDeleteOn halloween, i went to my friends house to trick or treat , and after that we went to the haunted forest and it was fun. I am only afraid of horses, because it seems like they want to eat me.
