In A Light in the Forest, Half-Arrow brings True Son presents to remind him of his Indian Home. He brings him corn so that he is well-fed; mocassins to be well-clothed; and his bearskin rug to remind him of his father and to be warm at night.
If you were sent from your home and could bring three items to remind you of where you came from- what would they be. Make sure to give your reason for each!

The three items I would bring would be;
ReplyDelete1. My phone so I could stay connected with all of my friends and family. Also, on my phone I have a lot of pictures so if I ever missed anyone I could just look at their picture.
2. My blanket because I have had it forever and it really reminds me of home.
3. One of my favorite sweatshirts because it would keep me warm and remind me of the soccer tournaments I had played here.

1. I would take my phone like Danielle so that I could talk to my family and friends and if there was an emergence.
ReplyDelete2. I would also take my i-pod because I like music and it is one of my most valued items because it has pictures of family and remembrance on it.
3. finally I would take my favorite comforting item, my baby blanket. I would take it because it was one of the first thing I felt and it is also my comfort thing I use when I am away from home for a long period of time.
The biggest reasons I would take these things is for comfort.

3.My teddy bear- because my brother fgave it to mer when I turned 5, and it means a lot to me
i would bring my phone, because i could keep in contact with all my close friends and my family. i would also bring my ring because it would remind me of when my dad and step mom bought it for me. and i would bring my north face because i had wanted one for ever and my mom finally bought me one.

If i was taken from my home and only had 3 things to bring they would be:
ReplyDelete1.) My cellular device, so i could talk to all of my friends and all of the pictures that i have would remind me of everybody and everything.
2.) My stuffed dog Blackie to remind me of my childhood and how much i used that dog when i was a little girl and how i still have him today.
3.) My very colorful soccer ball, because it will remind me of all of the fun times i have a soccer practices and games.

Three iteams I would bring are my Ipod because it have lots of photos and music is my life it clams me down.The second iteam I would bring is my phone I could keep in contact with my family and friends. and the thrid item would be the teddy bear my birth mother gave me when I was born because It would remind me of her.

i would bring my sheep skin rug thats in my room because its so soft and reminds me of home i would also bring a family portrait to show that i had another family and i would bring my .22 rifle that my grandpa bought me last august to remind me of all the fun times i had at the shooting range

The first thing i would bring with me would be my bike. It will remind me that I have good friends, that let me ride over to there house, and hang out. It will also help me travel places faster on my journey. the second thing I would bring is my laptop, so I can send emails to my family. The last thing I would bring is my dog's collar. I would bring this, because it would remind me of how she keeps me company when my parents arn't home, and how she always makes me laugh. This are the three things I would bring with me if I had to leave my family forever.

Huskie Sweatshirt: I would bring this with me and wear it all the time because the University of Washington is like home to me, and a dream. So therefor I can still be living a dream where ever I am at in life.
Martial Arts Belt: I would just have it with me because it will remind me of all the work I have done to got the belt, and how much I love tae kwon do. And if you think about it logical then it would be useless. But the memories is all that it counts to me. How cheesy, but true.

ReplyDeleteMy Oregon Duck Sweatshirt: As most people know, I'm a little obsessed with the ducks. (: My family and I are hard-core fans and we go to a lot of football games down in Eugene, we go see my sister in college down there, and we just go to have a great time. To me, it's one of my favorite places in the world and we've made a lot of great memories in Oregon. So, my Oregon Duck sweatshirt would be my number one item to remind me of the ducks my family and I are. GO DUCKS(:
My second item would be, the picture of my Grandma Dorothy and my sisters and I. My Grandma passed away a few years ago, and the picture was of us on a sunny day,skating on the Alki waterfront. This picture reminds me of some great times that we spent together, and all the great times I miss with her.
My third and final item that i would bring would be my dads jacket. My dads jacket is a red, fleece jacket that may not look great, but it's really sentimental to me. My mom made me a teddy-bear when I was little that was made of the same material. So the jacket reminds me a lot of my dad and my mom.
Those would be my three items that I would take on my voyage.

I remember this book!!!!!! :) Good times, good times. Don't worry guys, it gets better near the end! Unless you hate books, then it never gets better. But you should never hate books ever!!!!! Take it from an upper classman!
