Hello Newbies.
The beginning of a school year is always a mix of sadness and excitement for even me, a teacher. I like having the chance to start fresh and try out new projects/ideas but I always am reminded of the students I already miss from previous years which makes it a bit emotional. What is it you like about the start of a school year? What is it that leaves you a bit nervous, sad, or upset? Explain this to myself and your fellow classmates and remember you can always return and see what others say. Feel free to comment as much and as often as you would like!
And as always, please publish your post by Friday before school.
I like the start of the school year because I get to see all my old friends. It also means one year closer to being a freshman (: The first day is always a little awkward but once you start talking to people you get right back into it.

I agree with Juila that the first day is a little awkward, but it get more fun as the day goes on!! I don't know why I am always SO nervous for the first day of school- I just am!!-Carina

ReplyDeleteI like the start of the school year because i get to see all of my friends again. Also the start of school is great because during the summer not everyday is filled with fun things so when there is school 5 days a week i have something to keep me busy throughout my day. -Maddie Duffy

ReplyDeleteThe bitter part is that more drama with the girls and guys. The more stress about homework. Not getting to see your favorite show at late night because you need sleep. All the things adding up to us, doesn't seem so fun. Huh?
The sweet part is that we get to see some of the people that make our lives worth living. The part were we get to eat lunch with all our friends. Laugh about random jokes, and funny new teachers. So, school isn't all that bad.
So, to wrap this up. School has a down side and a up side. After all nothing can be perfect. I honestly like school, because it gives me a reason to do something. It will get me somewhere I want to be in life. And, that's the end!

What I like about the start of school this year, is that I get to see my friends, and I see that I have good classes, with nice teachers (Not saying some aren't nice). I'm kinda nervous for Social Studies because it's not my best class, but I'll try to succeed another year. But whatever difficult challenges are thrown at me, I'll try my best to do. Because I know nothing is impossible, but rather just really difficult at the moment, but in time it will be accomplished sooner or later.

What I like about the start of the summer is that you can see all your friends again, that you didn't get to see over the summer. You also get to meet new friends and new teachers so thats always fun. The bad part of going back to school, I agree with Kelly. You have the stress of homework, and don't get to stay up as late as you want to. But, it all works out in the end.

What I like about going back to school is that I get to see my friends that I get a chance to see them during the summer. I get nervous about if im going to have awesome teachers or not?! am I going to have some of my friends in class?!

Starting a new school year is exiting for me, because all of of my friends are gone over the summer, so I don't get to see them. But when school starts I can! I am also sad to leave the life of doing whatever, whenever I want. Over all, I am very exited for a new year to start.

the start of a new school year for me is good because i can see all my friends that i haven't for three months and i can meet new people but also i get nervous when thinking about the new classes and school work and grades

ReplyDeleteThis is Josh Ryker speaking. It's great to come back to school and see all your old friends that you feel like you haven't seen in ages. I like the idea of starting the new year off freash. Also the though of beginning the scchool year off new or differnt maybe. I know I'm alway nervous on the first day of school.

I like the first day of school because you get to see all your friends you didnt get a chance to see over the summer. What makes me sad this year is all my 8th grade friends left and I truely miss all of them. Whats exciting about this year is we're the big kid at the school.

I think starting a new school year is cool and exciting, you get to see all your old friends and you get to make new friends. Aslso you get to see all your new classes and teachers and you get to have classes with other friends that u did not last year.

I like going back to school because, I love to see all my friends that I may not have gotten a chance to see, or hang out with during the summer. I love the excitement and joy of seeing all your friends, and the feeling of getting your schedule and comparing it with all your friends. Every year, you meet new students, new teachers and new people, you almost grow as a school. Your excited, for maybe a week or two, and then it just goes back to being plain old school. Well, it's our last year so we should all make the best of it.
